Time Rift launched on Steam on February 17, 2022, after years of development by the small indie studio Lightshards. In the weeks following launch, the team released a patch on February 24, 2022 adding Italian localization and fixing achievements. The game then expanded to consoles — PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox — between June 14–17, 2022, which represents the most substantial post-launch activity from the developer.
Since mid-June 2022, there have been no further developer communications, content releases, or patch notes. The only DLC is an Original Soundtrack released March 14, 2022, and no additional DLC has been listed or announced. The store description makes no mention of planned future content, and the developer has not posted any roadmaps or announcements of upcoming updates. With a small indie team, no established pattern of ongoing post-launch content updates, and no outstanding commitments, the game appears to have launched as a complete, finished product. The console ports completed the game's rollout, and no further content has been signaled since.
