Super Hydorah launched on September 20, 2017 as a complete horizontal shoot 'em up with 21 levels, 35 bosses, co-op multiplayer, and a spin-off mode. In the months following launch, the developer issued bug fix and minor patch updates, culminating in a substantial November 15, 2018 update that added new language support, a new skill/difficulty mode, aesthetic improvements, and other refinements. That update represents the last meaningful content addition to the game. The only subsequent release was the Original Soundtrack DLC on September 25, 2023 — a music pack, not new gameplay content. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, no roadmap, and no developer communications suggesting further updates. The game was designed and shipped as a finished product, received its post-launch polish pass through 2018, and has been content-complete since then.
