Evaluation
TIMEframe launched on July 7, 2015 as a short, self-contained exploration experience. The store description frames it explicitly as a complete, finite product — a "10-minute playthrough loop" with a defined narrative arc culminating in a "world-changing event." There is no mention of post-launch content plans, expansions, or an ongoing update cycle.
After launch, the developer issued a controller support patch on September 4, 2015 and an engine upgrade on September 23, 2016 (moving to Unity 5.3), the latter of which mentioned the possibility of adding VR support in the future. However, that VR mention was exploratory language ("potentially add VR"), not a commitment, and no VR update or any other content update ever materialized. The last developer communication about TIMEframe was that engine update post on September 23, 2016 — nearly a decade ago.
The only DLC listed is a soundtrack release on launch day, which is already available. No unreleased DLC exists. By June 2017, the developer had shifted focus to a new project, Lacuna Passage, announcing its Steam Early Access release — signaling that Random Seed Games had moved on from TIMEframe.
The game was designed and delivered as a complete, standalone experience with no post-launch content cycle. It launched complete and remains so.
