Evaluation
TIS-100 launched on June 1, 2015 and received a burst of updates during its early access period, culminating in a major content update on July 12, 2015 that added the TIS-NET Directory bonus campaign (25 user-created puzzles and new story content), Steam achievements, and other improvements. The game reached its full release on July 20, 2015. After that point, updates were limited to occasional bug fixes and maintenance patches — none introducing new content. The most recent developer communication was a bug fix on April 23, 2024, which patched a leaderboard display issue. The developer noted in that post that it had "been a while" since updating the game, suggesting no active content development is underway.
Separately, on July 5, 2022, Zachtronics announced that Last Call BBS would be "the last game by Zachtronics," signaling the studio's conclusion as a game developer. This does not affect TIS-100's content status — the game was already complete well before that announcement — but it confirms no future content from the studio should be expected.
TIS-100 launched as a self-contained puzzle game with a defined set of puzzles, sandboxes, and a story. It has no DLC, no season pass, and no unreleased content. The game is complete.
Evidence
Zachtronics announced Last Call BBS as 'the last game by Zachtronics,' confirming the studio has concluded its run as a game developer.
Major update added the TIS-NET Directory bonus campaign with 25 user-created puzzles and a new story chapter — the final significant content addition to the game.

Despite its appearances, TIS-100 is a game!
- Print and explore the TIS-100 reference manual, which details the inner-workings of the TIS-100 while evoking the aesthetics of a 1980’s computer manual!
- Solve more than 45 puzzles, competing against your friends and the world to minimize your cycle, instruction, and node counts.
- Design your own challenges in the TIS-100’s 3 sandboxes, including a “visual console” that lets you create your own games within the game!
