Evaluation

Tormentum II launched on July 23, 2026, after eight years of development by OhNoo Studio. Since launch, the developer has been active with bug-fix and polish patches addressing controller issues, accessibility improvements, localization, and Steam Deck compatibility. The most recent developer communication, on September 10, 2026, is the most informative signal. In that post, OhNoo Studio announced new language support (Czech, with Spanish and Turkish coming within two weeks), an engine upgrade, a new Music Gallery feature, and dialogue skipping. The post also confirms the studio is preparing iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. It closes with the phrase "And there's still more to come." That closing statement is a general expression of continued post-launch support — consistent with the localization work and platform ports already in progress — rather than an announcement of new story content or gameplay expansions. The artbook DLC released on launch day is the only paid DLC in the store listing, and no unreleased DLC is listed. No roadmap, expansion, or new gameplay content has been announced. Tormentum II is a self-contained, narrative-complete point-and-click adventure. The developer celebrated reaching the "finish line" at launch, and all post-launch activity has been bug fixes, accessibility improvements, and platform/localization work. The game launched as a complete story product and continues to receive post-launch polish, but there is no evidence of planned new gameplay content. The game is considered content-complete as of its July 23, 2026 release date.

About this game

Tormentum II is a dark point-and-click adventure with hand-drawn art inspired by H. R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński. Blending dark fantasy with psychological horror, it takes you into a world that has slipped beyond its creator’s control. Explore, solve puzzles, and make choices that shape the fates of those you meet. This is a standalone story, so you don’t need to have played the first game.

Trapped in your own creation

David is building a simulation inhabited by beings as intelligent as humans. At night, he dreams of a locked chest and hears a woman calling to him. After installing a mysterious coprocessor, he wakes up in an island prison, inside the very world he created.

He barely remembers how he got there. The simulation has grown beyond his design, and its inhabitants speak of gods who appear and vanish without warning. To get home, David must discover why his creation no longer obeys him.

Explore, solve and decide

Travel between surreal islands, talk to their inhabitants and work through puzzles at your own pace. Your decisions determine what happens to the characters you meet. The right choice is rarely obvious, and the story can reach several different endings.

A world drawn by hand

Discover 200 hand-drawn scenes, with additional close-ups bringing the total to almost 500 backgrounds. The art draws on H. R. Giger's biomechanical imagery and the bleak landscapes of Zdzisław Beksiński. An atmospheric score shifts into heavier, metal-influenced passages along the way.

The adventure offers 6–9 hours of play, depending on your pace.

Key features

  • Point-and-click exploration and puzzles across multiple surreal islands.

  • Choices with consequences that shape the fates of the characters you meet and lead to multiple endings.

  • 200 hand-drawn scenes. Dedicated close-ups bring the total to nearly 500 individual background images, roughly three times as many as in the original game.

  • Surreal art inspired by H. R. Giger's biomechanical forms and the desolate worlds painted by Zdzisław Beksiński.

  • 6 to 9 hours of gameplay, depending on your pace.

  • A dark, atmospheric soundtrack with occasional heavier passages influenced by metal.

  • A complete, standalone story. No knowledge of the original game is required.
