Touhou: New World launched on July 13, 2023. In the months following launch, the developer shipped several feature patches adding new difficulty modes, gameplay improvements, and quality-of-life options. On July 10, 2024, the one named story expansion — "Gensokyo Dreaming" — was released as paid DLC, representing the only major content addition post-launch. All three items in the DLC list (the story DLC, the original soundtrack, and the artbook) are now released with no unreleased entries remaining. There have been no developer communications since July 10, 2024, no roadmaps, and no announcements of additional content. The game launched as a complete story-driven action-RPG, received one story expansion roughly a year later, and has been quiet since. Based on the full release of all listed DLC and the absence of any announced future content, the game's content appears complete as of the Gensokyo Dreaming DLC release on July 10, 2024.
