Evaluation
Trickster VR launched into Early Access and received a steady stream of updates over roughly two years, graduating to a full 1.0 release on January 15, 2019. The developer, Superstatic, was highly active during this period — the 50 news posts scanned include 23 major content drops, spanning new weapons, enemies, regions, game modes, and major system overhauls like the weapon mastery system (October 2017), the Torket region and new weapons (February 2018), the Stormchaser boss quest (September 2018), and a redesigned Horde Attack mode with leaderboards (May 17, 2019). That last post — Update 29 on May 17, 2019 — is the final developer communication on record. There have been no news posts, patches, or announcements of any kind since that date. No DLC has been listed, no roadmap was published, and no future content was promised in that final update. The store description describes a fixed, enumerated content set (45 levels, 22 weapons, 9 mission types, 5 regions) with no mention of upcoming additions. Given that the last major content update shipped on May 17, 2019 and the developer has been silent since then — over seven years with no communication — the game appears to have reached its completed state with that final update. No further content is expected.
Evidence
Update 29 launched, redesigning Horde Attack mode with upgrades between waves, new leaderboards, a new potion, and a revamped Home Island. This is the last official developer communication on record.
Update 26 added a new boss quest (Eye of the Storm), a new weapon (Staff of Storms), and 13 Steam achievements — a major content release.
