Tricky Doors launched on October 17, 2023 as a point-and-click escape room puzzle game. Since launch, the developer has been steadily releasing new episode packs. On February 2, 2024, five new game locations were added — a ship, aircraft, shopping mall, and temples of ancient Maya and Egypt. On May 14, 2026, another batch of episodes was announced, spanning tropical jungle, a deserted ocean tanker, a mystical castle, and a fairytale dream world. Most recently, on July 17, 2026, a further new episode was announced featuring a horror-tinged story about finding a missing child in a world of childhood fears. This pattern shows the developer actively expanding the game with new episodes across a span of years, with no indication that development is winding down.
