UBERMOSH Vol.5

UBERMOSH Vol.5 is the fifth entry in Walter Machado's UBERMOSH arcade series, released on May 25, 2017. The game launched as a self-contained volume in a series of standalone arcade titles — each volume is a finished product in its own right, not a live-service game or an expanding platform. The developer explicitly addressed the future of the UBERMOSH series in a September 19, 2019 post, stating: "Am I making the last UBERMOSH? Yes. There will be another after UBERMOSH:OMEGA? No." This confirmed that UBERMOSH:OMEGA (Vol.7/8) would be the final entry in the series, and that statement has never been walked back. Since Vol.5's release, Walter Machado has remained prolific — shipping UBERMOSH:SANTICIDE (July 2018), UBERMOSH Vol.7 1.0 (April 2019), UBERMOSH:OMEGA Redux (February 2021), and most recently developing and releasing BLOODSAINT (a separate game) through Early Access to 1.0 in November 2024, followed by the BLOODSAINT 2 minigame in January 2026. All of this activity has been in other titles in the broader universe, not in Vol.5 itself. UBERMOSH Vol.5 launched as a complete, standalone arcade experience and has received no post-launch content updates. It was complete on the day it shipped.
