Evaluation
Viking Squad launched on October 4, 2016. In the months following release, the small three-person studio at Slick Entertainment shipped a series of patches adding features (combo lists, mouse support, balancing tweaks) and a World Events system in December 2016. On January 20, 2017, the developer published a major announcement: Slick Entertainment was joining Klei Entertainment after its 10th anniversary. In that post, the developer stated they would "still support the current games," but framed the move as a transition toward making new games rather than continuing to expand Viking Squad. No new content, roadmap, or DLC has been announced or released since that post. There are no unreleased DLC listings on the store, and the store description makes no mention of planned future content. The game appears to have shipped as a complete brawler experience, with post-launch support wrapping up around the time of the studio merger announcement in January 2017.
Evidence
