Void Memory launched on October 30, 2017 and received regular patches and balance updates throughout 2017 and 2018. On September 6, 2019, developer Gustav released a substantial free expansion called "Void Memory: Addendum," which added 5 new areas, 8 new bosses, 22 new items, a new ending, and numerous quality-of-life improvements. In the announcement for this update, Gustav stated explicitly: "This update, which I've been working for with all of my spare time, would be the final update of Void Memory." The post also noted the developer would only return to address critical bug fixes or other necessary topics. No content has been announced or released since that date, and there are no unreleased DLC items on the store. The game shipped as a complete product as of the Addendum release on September 6, 2019.
