Voor De Kroon

Voor De Kroon is a medieval strategy-action game that has been in Early Access since December 9, 2022. The developer, Future Minimalism, has maintained an exceptionally active update schedule throughout this period. The most recent major content release — the Early Hundred Years' War campaign — shipped on July 29, 2026, adding a full new campaign set in 1345, 17 new factions, 19 new units, 87 battle locations, and major new battlefield mechanics including battle stances, schiltrons, and deployable pavise shields. This was followed by feature patches on August 1 and August 6, 2026, the latter of which also included an updated roadmap for the remainder of summer 2026, explicitly listing upcoming work such as cannons and new campaign mechanics. Earlier in 2026, the developer shipped the jousting tournament mode (May 3, 2026), an RTS tactical camera overhaul (May 27, 2026), and the 14th Century Armory Pack free DLC (February 28, 2026). A substantial campaign and officer attributes overhaul followed in February 9, 2026. Feature patches have arrived roughly every two to four weeks throughout the year. On June 24, 2026, the developer posted a "future of Voor de Kroon" update explicitly stating "there's a lot more to come," previewing both the second campaign and the new armor DLC — both of which subsequently shipped. The developer has not announced a 1.0 release date or indicated that Early Access is concluding. Development is clearly ongoing at a high pace.
