Ancestors Legacy

Ancestors Legacy launched on May 22, 2018 and received one major paid expansion, Saladin's Conquest, on May 21, 2019, along with its accompanying soundtrack DLC on June 13, 2019. All four DLC items listed on the store are released — there is nothing unreleased in the pipeline. The developer's news posts on Ancestors Legacy's own Steam page have not announced any new content for the game itself. The most recent activity on the page is a May 19, 2026 post announcing the game's arrival on macOS, and a May 12, 2026 post teasing the studio's upcoming new title, Nailcrown. The macOS release is a platform port, not new content. Back in December 2021, the developer posted that an Ancestors Legacy 2 is a matter of "when, not if" — but that was over four years ago, no sequel has been announced concretely since, and the studio has since shipped two other games (War Mongrels in 2021 and 63 Days in 2024) and is now teasing yet another new title (Nailcrown). The 2021 statement was aspirational rather than a concrete commitment, and no follow-up has been made to reaffirm it. With all DLC released, no announced future content for this game, and the studio's attention clearly directed toward new projects, Ancestors Legacy is a complete package. The content completion date is tied to the final DLC release, the Saladin's Conquest Digital Soundtrack on June 13, 2019.
