Evaluation
War of Omens launched on February 18, 2019 and received a steady stream of updates through 2019 and into 2020, including new cards, heroes, campaign chapters, balance changes, and quality-of-life improvements. The last recorded developer communication is the October 8, 2020 patch, which added a new campaign chapter (Insurrection), a new difficulty level, and bug fixes. No updates of any kind have been posted since that date — a silence spanning over five and a half years through the current date of June 28, 2026.
The game's release history shows two identifiable major content drops (the March 13, 2019 update and the October 8, 2020 update) with feature patches in between, but the pattern clearly stopped after October 2020. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced roadmap items that remain unfulfilled (the "Coming Soon" items in the March 2020 patch — Sealed Pack Tournament, cosmetics, Card Prestige icons — were never publicly delivered or re-confirmed after that point, and the developer has not communicated anything further).
Given the complete absence of developer communication since October 8, 2020, the free-to-play nature of the game with no live-service monetization structure (no seasonal battle passes, no rotating content cycles), and no announced content still pending delivery, the game appears to have reached its final state with the October 2020 update. The two-developer studio described in the store page has gone silent with no indication of studio closure, but also no indication of ongoing work.
Evidence
Last developer update, adding a new campaign chapter (Insurrection), a new difficulty level, and bug fixes. No further posts from the developer after this date.
Major content update adding battle history, a new tournament hero (Tazin), and campaign chapter 11 — one of two identifiable major content releases in the game's history.

Okay let's get real
War of Omens is a two-developer project. We're on the Discord server all the time, and we play the game too. We try to not be greedy and give you most everything you can have, for free. You'll see dozens of hours of gameplay before you'd even benefit from spending; and at that point, a $10 purchase is all it takes to be completely set. And even that isn't necessary to progress or be competitive. We're not out to get rich; we just want to keep doing this: our dream job. It's free, so why not give it a try to see if you like it?Last evaluated Jun 28, 2026
