War Party launched into Early Access on October 12, 2018 with two factions and a roadmap that promised a third faction, a single-player campaign, and additional content. The developer delivered on those commitments: the Vithara faction arrived in December 2018, and the full 1.0 release with the Story Campaign mode launched on March 28, 2019. After launch, the team continued with feature patches and bug fixes through mid-2019, culminating in Patch 1.1.3 on July 26, 2019 which added campaign saving and a global chat. The last developer communication on record was a developer livestream announcement on January 28, 2021 — a routine community stream, not a content release or roadmap reveal. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, no roadmap pointing to upcoming updates, and no developer statements about plans beyond that 2021 stream. The game has been silent since January 28, 2021, well over four years ago, with no indication of further development. Given that all originally promised content was delivered by the 1.0 launch, no post-launch content cadence was established beyond maintenance patches, and the developer has made no announcements of future plans, War Party appears to be a complete, finished product.

About this game

In ancient times, a powerful civilization thrived, blending technology and magic to assert their dominion on the world. Eons have passed since their fall and nature has reclaimed its place, leading wild beasts and dinosaurs to roam the land once again.

The tribes of men have emerged and grown in this savage environment. Using whatever tools at their disposal and harnessing the powers of the Ancients from the ruins of their cities and temples, they thrive and fight with each other for the limited resources of this world.

Lead your people to victory, expand your tribe and harness the power of beasts and lost artefacts. Shape your people to overcome their rivals and become the uncontested rulers of all.

Three Unique Factions: Play as the proud “Wildlanders”, the menacing “Necromas”, or the vengeful “Vithara” each with unique units, buildings, talents and playstyle.
Campaign: Lead your chosen faction to victory in a conflict that will change the world forever. Tackle unique missions with challenging objectives as you uncover the purpose of an ancient power from a previous civilization.
