Watchers has been shut down. On June 7, 2021, the publisher Alawar posted an official end-of-service announcement explaining that the development team behind Watchers had departed the company in the fall of 2019, leaving the game without support. The announcement confirmed that all purchasable DLC and add-ons would be removed from sale on June 30, 2021, and that the game's servers would be permanently deactivated on August 31, 2021. The game is no longer purchasable on Steam and, as an online-only multiplayer title, is no longer playable.
