Super Squad entered Steam Early Access on June 25, 2021 and has been actively updated since then, with Bad Fox Studios shipping feature patches at a fairly consistent pace — approximately every 1–3 months — introducing new maps, major gameplay systems (in-match levelling, combat mode, reloading, domination redesigns), UI overhauls, new characters, and more. The studio showed clear ongoing commitment through 2021 and 2022, with the most recent patch (V0.01.10) posted on March 28, 2023.
However, since March 28, 2023, there have been no further updates, announcements, or communications of any kind from Bad Fox Studios. This silence now spans over three years — far beyond the studio's established 1–3 month update cadence. The game remains in Early Access with no 1.0 launch, no roadmap completion, and no statement explaining the pause. It is not possible to confirm whether development is continuing, on hold, or has quietly ended.
