Battlerite

Battlerite launched on November 8, 2017 and received regular updates through 2019. On October 23, 2019, Stunlock Studios released Patch 2.3.0 and explicitly stated: "This is the last content update scheduled for Battlerite. We will stay in maintenance mode with both titles for the foreseeable future." That announcement marked the formal end of planned content development for the game. Since then, Stunlock Studios shifted focus to V Rising, which launched into Early Access on May 17, 2022. Two recent posts from 2026 confirm Battlerite's ongoing maintenance-only status. On June 23, 2026, the studio released a minor technical patch to support rolling ranked season resets, noting: "While our attention is on our current project, Battlerite and its community will always mean a lot to us." On August 31, 2026, a follow-up post announced the first season reset would occur on September 2, 2026 — a purely infrastructure and community-service action, not new content. Neither post walks back the October 2019 end-of-content declaration. All four DLC items in the store listing are released. No unreleased DLC exists. The game continues to be kept running by the developer as a live service in a maintenance capacity, but no new gameplay content has been delivered or announced since October 2019.
