West of Dead launched on June 18, 2020 and received a solid run of post-launch updates. The developer shipped multiple feature patches in the weeks following launch, culminating in a major content update — The Bone Orchard Update — on January 31, 2021, which introduced new gameplay systems, difficulty settings, enemy overhauls, and significant balancing. A further feature patch (Update 1.11.8.29) followed on July 8, 2021, adding new shop types, a resurrection item, and wave rooms. Both DLC items (the soundtrack and the Crow DLC) were released on launch day, June 18, 2020, and no unreleased DLC exists in the store listing. There have been no developer posts of any kind since July 8, 2021 — nearly five years of silence as of today, June 26, 2026. The developer has not announced any future content, roadmaps, or expansions. The update pattern has clearly concluded, and the game appears to have reached its final state with the July 2021 patch.
