Witchspire launched into Early Access on June 10, 2026, and Envar Games has maintained consistent, detailed communication with its community ever since. On September 15, 2026, the developer published a substantially updated Early Access roadmap outlining what remains ahead. Three named updates are still to come: "Dormant Powers" (targeting 2026, bringing salvaging, Weapon Crafting 2.0, and a first-ever craftable familiar called Scrappy in six elemental variants), "The Frozen Tundra" (also targeting 2026, adding a new snowy biome, Act III of the story, a Staff weapon type, a Bestiary, and a reworked quest system), and "The Final Key" (planned for 2027, concluding Act III and introducing endgame content). A fifth phase, "Throne of Corruption," is also planned for 2027. On September 29, 2026 — today — the first major update, "Haunted Magick" (Early Access version 0.2), shipped. It includes two new familiars, a Gothic building set with 82 pieces, new decoration and garden sets, a new outfit, new crop type, inventory sorting, and a raised level cap of 45. The developer had previewed all of this content in the September 28, 2026 "Coven Chronicles" monthly roundup and confirmed via the September 15 roadmap that Haunted Magick was arriving before Halloween. The studio has been actively shipping patches throughout Early Access — from Patch 0.1.1 the day after launch through to today's major update — and has committed to monthly development roundups on Steam and weekly previews in Discord. The roadmap extends well into 2027, and the developer has delivered on the commitments made in earlier roadmap posts.
