Without Within 2

Without Within 2 is a standalone visual novel that launched on November 9, 2015 as a complete, finished product. Both its DLC items — the original soundtrack and a digital artbook — were released on the same day as the game itself, indicating they were never post-launch additions but rather day-one companion content. The developer, InvertMouse, posted a significant update on December 1, 2018, reflecting on the future of the Without Within series. In that post, the developer explicitly stated that the series "cannot continue in its current format" due to budget constraints and a saturated market. Rather than announcing new content for Without Within 2, the developer outlined a pivot toward a different genre entirely — the horror game Clea, which subsequently released on July 10, 2019. Without Within 3 (a separate game in the series) had already been released on May 5, 2018, meaning the numbered sequel that followed Without Within 2 has already shipped. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, no roadmaps, and no developer statements suggesting any further updates or additions to Without Within 2. The game launched as a complete experience and has remained so.
