Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe+ launched on December 17, 2019, with a feature patch following in January 2020 and the official soundtrack DLC releasing on February 10, 2020. The game then went quiet for several years with no major content activity.
In August 2025, the developer posted an announcement promising a graphics and bug fix update arriving "next month" (October 2025), along with a Nintendo Switch 2 enhanced edition. A follow-up post on September 18, 2025 reiterated these same plans. However, as of June 22, 2026 — more than nine months after those announcements — no further posts have appeared confirming the update shipped or providing any status update. The developer has gone silent after making a specific near-term commitment, and it is unknown whether the promised update was released or whether the Switch 2 version is still in progress.
