Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade launched on May 14, 2025. Shortly after launch, the original publisher GSE unexpectedly withdrew from Steam on May 21, 2025. Developer 7QUARK responded the same day, confirmed they would continue support on all platforms, and took over full Steam operations starting May 22, 2025. On May 23, 2025, 7QUARK published a detailed content roadmap committing to substantial free updates within three months (Boss Rush Mode, 9 new weapons, new enemies, new talismans, boss battle enhancements) and even larger additions within the following year — a paid New Route DLC introducing a new playable character named Yasha, Main Story Chapter 4, a True Ending Arc, and Superboss variants of all bosses. The pre-launch announcement on May 8, 2025 also referenced outstanding Kickstarter commitments including six new weapons per protagonist. 7QUARK then delivered a stream of updates through late June 2025: a major content update on May 25, 2025 (v1.0.5) added a new story scene and hidden ending for the Taketora character, followed by feature patches on May 29, June 6, June 13, and June 23, 2025 adding new systems, improved enemy variety, and gameplay refinements. However, the last developer communication on record is the June 23, 2025 patch notes for version 1.0.9. As of October 1, 2026 — more than 15 months later — there have been no further posts, updates, or announcements of any kind. The three-month window for the free update batch (Boss Rush Mode, weapons, etc.) closed around August 2025, and the one-year window for the New Route DLC, Chapter 4, and the True Ending Arc closed around May 2026, both without any confirmed delivery or developer communication about delays. The volume of promised content is large, and the extended silence without any explanation makes it unclear whether development is continuing.
