Evaluation

Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles launched on July 17, 2017 and received a series of post-launch updates through early 2018. The developer, Prideful Sloth, shipped several feature updates in the months following launch: a quality-of-life patch in August 2017, new creatures and Simplified Chinese support in September 2017, a Halloween festival event in October 2017, a fast travel system and free accessory DLC pack in December 2017, and finally a major performance and optimization update ("Fair Weather") on April 28, 2018. That April 2018 update is the last content-bearing patch on record for Yonder. Since April 2018, no further updates, patches, or content announcements have been made for the game. The sole DLC — a free cosmetic accessory pack released December 22, 2017 — has been fully released, and no additional DLC has been announced or listed. The store description makes no mention of planned content, roadmaps, or ongoing development. Prideful Sloth has since moved on to new projects: they announced Grow: Song of the Evertree in June 2021 and launched Go-Go Town! into Early Access in June 2024. These announcements were posted on Yonder's Steam news page as developer communications to their fanbase, but they contain no reference to further Yonder content. Yonder appears to have been a fully shipped, self-contained experience since April 2018.

As the hero of Gemea, you can seek out the hidden and whimsical creatures known as Sprites. Use their power to clear the Murk and restore nature’s beauty.

As you explore Gemea, you can barter with friendly locals, discover unique materials to craft with, befriend the adorable wildlife and even create your own working farm.
