Yotsume God -Reunion- is a self-contained escape adventure game that launched on February 15, 2022 as a complete remake of the original "Yotsume God," featuring new illustrations, scenarios, voice acting, and animations. The developer's two relevant news posts from January 2024 are both announcements for an entirely separate game — "Tasokare Hotel Re:newal" — developed by the same team, with no reference to additional content for Yotsume God -Reunion-. Mai Sahara, a third-year junior high school student, goes with her father to her grandparents' house in the mountains.
Mai has idiosyncrasies that allow her to see and hear things that the people around her can't.
Before long, Mai arrives at her grandparents and falls asleep, exhausted from the journey.
As she wakes from a strange dream, two children suddenly appear in front of her.
Guided by the children, she wanders into Yotsume Shrine.
There she meets a mysterious boy.
