Acron: Attack of the Squirrels! launched on August 29, 2019 and received a handful of post-launch updates over the following years. The most notable content addition was the Halloween-themed Sulky Swamp level added on October 21, 2020, alongside level selection and various improvements. Before that, a Haunting Horrors level and cosmetic skins shipped on October 31, 2019. A July 2021 post teased that "new content is under construction," but no follow-up announcement ever materialized — no named DLC, expansion, or major update was released after that post, suggesting the teased content was either cancelled or quietly abandoned.
Subsequent developer activity consisted entirely of maintenance work: localization updates (June 2023), minor gameplay polish (September 2023), and most recently an engine upgrade on November 19, 2025. No new gameplay content has shipped since October 2020, and there have been no developer communications about planned future content.
