Tactical Assault VR

Tactical Assault VR has been in Early Access since March 26, 2023 and remains explicitly unfinished at version 0.9.25, with no 1.0 release date announced. The game has maintained a robust update cadence throughout its Early Access period. Five major content drops are tracked in the data, the most recent being the DEADSHOT Update on May 7, 2026, which added the game's largest map to date along with the final mission of the Operation: Dahlia DLC, a new weapon class, a character customization gallery, and a player reputation system. Feature patches followed on May 20, June 8, and June 27, 2026, each adding new weapons, systems, and map expansions. However, a significant development occurred on July 16, 2026: the developer published a "New Beginnings" post announcing that the original lead developer (JARVIS) has stepped down from all involvement. The project is transitioning to two new leads — Puddle and Canto — without a publisher. The announcement confirms the game will remain operational and that development will continue, but explicitly states there will be a downtime period before the next update while ownership is transferred. It also notes that previously planned future DLCs are being put on hold in favor of expanding existing DLC content, and that a planned mod support feature is delayed. The new leadership team is already active on the project (both had been contributing content updates prior to this announcement), which is a positive sign. However, the scope and timeline of the leadership handover are unknown, and with future DLC plans explicitly put on hold and a development pause underway, the near-term content roadmap carries real uncertainty.
