Among Us 3D launched on Steam PC on May 6, 2025, developed by Schell Games under publisher Innersloth. From launch, the game maintained a steady cadence of content updates through 2025, including multiple Limited Time Events introducing new roles (Vigilante, Scanner, Critical Crewmate, Wraith, Guardian Angel, Tracker) and feature patches. In early March 2026, Schell Games formally announced they were handing development and live-ops back to Innersloth — the original creators of Among Us — describing this as the always-intended plan after four years of collaboration. Schell Games confirmed that the game "isn't going anywhere" and would continue receiving support under Innersloth. Within weeks of the transition, Innersloth delivered on that promise: a "Definitive Edition Update" shipped on April 8, 2026, permanently incorporating popular Limited Time Event content (Mess Hall map, Scanner, Wraith, Deputy, and Guardian Angel roles). Most recently, on June 5, 2026, Among Us 3D received a cosmetics pack tied to the Among Us animated show. The developer transition was explicitly positioned as a continuation of support, not a wind-down, and Innersloth has already shipped two notable updates since taking over. The game is actively receiving new content with no indication that development is concluding.
