Animalia Survival

Animalia Survival has been in Early Access since September 9, 2021 and remains in active, ongoing development by High Brazil Studio. The developer has maintained a consistent stream of updates throughout 2025 and 2026, with no indication that development is winding down. Recent highlights include: the Tanzania Map launched for testing on April 5, 2026, and has received multiple expansions and refinements since (new Great Lake and Great Plain Savanna on April 9, rock formations and visual overhauls in April and June 2026, insect additions in July 2026, and map size expansion on August 12, 2026 — the most recent update). A new Python was added as a playable animal in September 2025, accompanied by a stated plan to rework all animals in carnivore/herbivore pairs across the Public Test and Crossplayer branches. In the August 12, 2026 update, the developer explicitly confirmed three distinct areas of ongoing work: (1) the TLVL2 map is being rebuilt and redesigned with new areas, and the team says they are "very close to completing this stage"; (2) a brand-new Canyon biome is under development for the Tanzania Map; and (3) the Crossplay PC & Android version is undergoing a major core systems overhaul, with a planned migration to Unreal Engine 5.7.4 (noted in June 2026). The developer has also been expanding platform support, having separated the game into two permanent branches in June 2025 — a traditional Steam version and a Crossplayer version for PC/Android cross-play — with both receiving the same content updates. All five DLC packs on the store are seasonal cosmetics that have shipped. The game has no announced 1.0 release date, and the developer has made no statements suggesting development is approaching its conclusion.
