Aquatico

Aquatico launched on January 12, 2023 and received a strong wave of post-launch content and updates throughout 2023. The developer published a post-launch roadmap on launch day (January 12, 2023) outlining planned features, and then delivered on much of it: a major Arctic/polar biome update shipped on March 10, 2023; a large content update adding game modes and the Atlantis storyline campaign shipped on April 3, 2023; a QoL feature patch followed on June 1, 2023; and two new maps were added on October 16, 2023. The most recent developer communication was a performance and optimization update on May 2, 2024. After the May 2, 2024 update, the developer has posted nothing specific to Aquatico. A November 27, 2024 post from the publisher's account is entirely about a different game (Kaiserpunk) and contains no mention of Aquatico. No new content, DLC, roadmap updates, or developer statements about future Aquatico development have appeared since May 2024. Looking at the content history, the four major content drops were clustered between January and October 2023 — all within the first year of release. The most recent major content (new maps) shipped October 16, 2023, and the last update of any kind was a maintenance/optimization patch on May 2, 2024. No new content has shipped in over two years (since October 16, 2023), and there have been no developer communications about Aquatico since May 2, 2024. The original roadmap items that were not explicitly confirmed as shipped (e.g., Road & Tunnel systems, Submarine mode, Disasters v2, Artifacts system) have never been followed up on, and no outstanding commitments have been reaffirmed since late 2023. The pattern strongly indicates that active content development for Aquatico has concluded. The developer has not announced any future content, all listed DLC has been released, and the silence since May 2024 far exceeds the historical update cadence. The game appears to have reached its final state.
