Aster

Aster is a small, self-described "short and sweet" arcade shooter that launched on May 1, 2020 at a $2.99 price point. The developer explicitly framed it as a compact, complete experience at launch. The only post-launch communication was a single control-improvement patch (Update 1.1) released on the same day as launch, responding to early player feedback about the ship's controls. There have been no developer communications of any kind since May 1, 2020 — no roadmaps, no DLC announcements, no hints of future content. The game has no DLC listed on the store. Given the developer's own characterization of the game as a short, finished product and the complete absence of any post-launch content activity over more than six years, Aster launched as a complete, standalone game with no further content planned.
