Evaluation

Avadon: The Black Fortress is a standalone indie RPG that launched on August 17, 2011. The store description presents it as a complete, self-contained adventure with a defined story, character classes, and world — there is no mention of DLC, expansions, or ongoing updates. The three developer news posts visible for this game are cross-promotional announcements for entirely separate Spiderweb Software titles (Geneforge 1 – Mutagen in February 2021 and Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor in May 2022), with no communication about new content for Avadon itself. There are no DLC listings and no indication that any post-launch content was ever planned or delivered. The game launched as a finished product and has remained so.
