The developer explicitly announced on May 6, 2023 that version 2.1 is "the final update for Beach Island Deluxe" and that "Beach Island Deluxe is now complete, its journey is over." This statement leaves no ambiguity — the developer has formally closed out the game's development. The final update (v2.1.0) shipped on the same day, bringing quality-of-life improvements, an autosave system, and an achievement tracker. The full original soundtrack was also released as a free DLC on that same date. Designed for both experienced players and those unfamiliar to games, feel free to take it at your own pace, take on the island’s toughest challenges or kick back and enjoy the beach!
