Evaluation

Blood Night entered Steam Early Access on March 1, 2026 and is explicitly marked as an unfinished game. The developer was highly active in the first month: a substantial survival mechanics update shipped on March 6, 2026 (adding dynamic weather, a clothing system, and stamina mechanics), a major content update arrived on March 26, 2026 (overhauling the UI, adding mod support, forest fires, and new game mechanics), and multiple bug fix patches accompanied these releases. The March 6 update even teased that "the next update will be truly massive," signaling intent to continue development at pace. However, the last developer communication of any kind was a minor bug fix post on March 27, 2026. As of September 24, 2026, no updates, announcements, patch notes, or developer posts have appeared in nearly 6 months — a sharp contrast to the rapid cadence established at launch. The developer has not explained this silence, and the game remains in Early Access with no 1.0 release announced. The promised "truly massive" follow-up update has not materialized, and there is no information about whether development is continuing.
Evidence

About this game

The catastrophe began in the "Quantum Alien" laboratory, but it ended with the death of all humanity.

A deadly virus destroyed civilization in a matter of days. But you survived. A random genetic mutation made you immune to the infection. Now your blood is both a blessing and a curse. In a world that has been forever changed, your only goal is to survive at any cost.

How to play?

1) Q — crafting

2) I — inventory

3) B — building (But first you need to craft a construction scheme in the craft panel)

4) Left Shift — self-explosion (If there is a grenade in the inventory)

5) WASD | Arrows — movement

6) LMB | RMB — shooting, throwing a projectile

Survive

Explore the ruins of the old world. Every resource you find, from stone to gold, can save your life. Mine, craft, and adapt.

Build

The night spares no one. Build an impregnable fortress, set traps, and install automatic turrets. When the Mega Horde arrives, only your walls will separate you from certain death.

Fight

There are no laws here anymore. A huge arsenal of weapons is your only argument in a dispute with mutants. Kill or become a feed.

Features of the game and interesting mechanics:

1) Support for multiplayer (up to 8 players). Survive with your friends.

2) Resource extraction and enemy attack are performed by
