Boogeyman 2 launched on February 7, 2017. In the weeks following release, developer Clockwork Wolf was actively patching the game — adding Nightmare Night mode, VR support, language options (Russian, German, French), Steam Trading Cards, and various bug fixes. The last recorded developer communication was a patch on September 14, 2017, which added Oculus Touch controller support and performance optimizations. Since that date, there have been no further news posts, announcements, or updates of any kind. No future content was ever announced and left undelivered, and there are no unreleased DLC listings. The game appears to have shipped as a complete product and received a series of post-launch patches that wrapped up by September 2017. With no ongoing update activity and no outstanding commitments, the game is complete.
