Brookhaven Grimoire

Brookhaven Grimoire launched on February 18, 2022. On that same day, the developer (a solo indie creator) explicitly promised continued content additions — specifically new romance options, more quests, and more spells. Throughout 2022, the game received a consistent stream of updates: feature patches, two major updates (version 1.2.0 on October 30, 2022, and the language localization update 1.2.1 on December 6, 2022), and a holiday patch on December 22, 2022. In the October 2022 major update post, the developer mentioned beginning work on a new game called Monsters of Seabrook, but explicitly stated this did NOT mean they were finished updating Brookhaven. However, December 22, 2022 was the last time the developer posted anything publicly. The active update cadence that characterized all of 2022 has been completely absent since then — now more than three and a half years of silence. The promised content (new romance options, quests, spells) was never delivered or officially cancelled. There has been no announcement that development is complete, no final update post, and no explanation for the extended silence. The two DLC items listed are both cosmetic backer rewards that released on launch day, so they don't indicate any ongoing content pipeline. The game is still purchasable on Steam. Given the unresolved promises made at launch and the long, unexplained silence since December 2022, it's uncertain whether the planned additions will ever arrive.
