Champions of Regnum

Champions of Regnum is a free-to-play MMORPG that launched on February 27, 2013 and has been continuously supported by Nimble Giant Entertainment for over a decade. The game is built around an Item Mall with purchasable currency (Ximerin) and cosmetics, recurring seasonal events (Halloween, anniversaries), and a live multiplayer battlefield — all hallmarks of an ongoing live service game that is designed to run indefinitely rather than reach a "finished" state. Throughout its history, the developer has shipped major content updates (Soul Monger in July 2019, Squid Island for the 13th Anniversary in May 2020), feature patches adding new content, and regular bug fixes, alongside seasonal promotions and community events. The game's structure — with monetized content cycles and a persistent online world — is fundamentally ongoing by design. However, the last official developer communication was on November 23, 2023, when version 1.34.3/1.34.4 was released adding Item Mall previews and new cosmetic customizations. As of June 28, 2026, no further patches, news posts, or developer updates of any kind have appeared — a silence of approximately two and a half years. This is a significant departure from the previously maintained update cadence and raises genuine uncertainty about whether active development is still ongoing. The game remains available for purchase and playable, but the lack of any developer communication since November 2023 makes it unclear whether the team is still actively supporting it.
