Evaluation
Cities XL Platinum launched on February 6, 2013 as a packaged city-builder containing over 1,000 buildings and 60 maps. The store description presents it as a complete product with no mention of post-launch content cycles, DLC, or ongoing updates. There are no DLC listings associated with the game. The only notable developer communication after launch was a December 11, 2014 teaser announcing Cities XXL — a fully separate sequel — rather than any new content for Cities XL Platinum. No patches, expansions, or updates of any kind were posted for this title after release. The game launched as a finished, self-contained product and has received no post-launch content.
