CRIMSON METAL Classic 1999

CRIMSON METAL Classic 1999 launched on May 4, 2017 with Episode 1, then followed up with Episode 2 on July 31, 2017, and Episode 3 on January 20, 2018. A fourth episode was teased in a January 2018 patch post but never materialized. Instead, on March 15, 2019, the developer released "CRIMSON METAL REDUX" — a complete redesign of the game — and noted that the earlier Episodes 2 and 3 were being removed and would return in updated form. That same post stated that resuming free episode releases would depend on player feedback and support, and that the team's broader ambition was to eventually develop CRIMSON METAL 2. No new episodes, expansions, or updates have followed since March 15, 2019. The only subsequent developer communication was a February 15, 2023 post announcing an entirely separate game (PARANOIA PLACE), with no mention of further CRIMSON METAL content. Both DLC items (the OST and a Support DLC) are released. The store description still mentions "FREE DLC Episodes," but this language predates the Redux overhaul and the developer's shift in focus. With no developer activity on this title since March 2019, no announced upcoming content, and no unreleased DLC, the game appears to have reached its final state with the Redux update on March 15, 2019.
