Evaluation

Darkness and Flame: Born of Fire Collector's Edition is a self-contained hidden object adventure game that launched on December 8, 2016. The store description presents it as a complete package — it includes a bonus chapter, collections, achievements, concept art, soundtracks, wallpapers, and a strategy guide, all of which are hallmarks of the "Collector's Edition" format in this genre, where everything ships at once. There are no DLC listings and no unreleased content on the store. The developer's only post-launch communications were a pair of language support updates on May 31, 2017, adding Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese (Brazil). There have been no developer posts of any kind since May 31, 2017, which is consistent with a game that shipped as a finished product and received only minor localization support shortly after launch. No future content has ever been announced.
