The Eyes of Ara

The Eyes of Ara launched on July 19, 2016 as a complete puzzle adventure game. In its first year, the developer shipped several patches and added supplementary DLC — an Original Soundtrack and Castle Maps (both April 11, 2017), and an Art Book (October 17, 2017). All three DLC items are released and purely supplementary (soundtrack, maps, and an art book), not story or content expansions. In January 2019, the developer explicitly stated that full-time production had shifted to a new, unannounced title, describing The Eyes of Ara as the studio's first game and signaling that the creative focus had moved on. No new gameplay content has been announced or released since the Art Book DLC in October 2017. The developer has continued to perform light maintenance on the game — a feature patch in January 2023 (engine update and minor puzzle tweaks) and a security-related bug fix in October 2025 — but neither of these constitute new content. They demonstrate that the solo developer continues to keep the game running and compatible, not that new content is being developed. With all DLC released, no unreleased content on the store, a developer statement from January 2019 pointing focus toward a next game, and no content announcements in nearly nine years since launch, the game is a complete, finished product. The last content addition was the Art Book DLC on October 17, 2017.
