Darkness Assault launched on February 6, 2015. Following release, Black Lime Studio shipped three DLC packs — a soundtrack (April 8, 2015), a costume pack (May 8, 2015), and an extra weapons pack (May 25, 2015) — alongside several feature patches improving AI, graphics, physics, and gameplay through August 28, 2015. The August 28, 2015 update (v1.03) was the last patch the studio issued for this game. Since then, all developer communications from this studio have been announcements of entirely separate games: Office Battle (December 2015), a new project called Redemption: Saints and Sinners (November 2016), ROMBY (July 2017), and GG Puzzler (May 2019). No further updates, DLC, or content announcements for Darkness Assault have been made. All released DLC is accounted for, and the developer has clearly moved on to other projects. The game launched as a complete package and received its post-launch content and polish updates entirely within 2015.
