DCL - The Game launched on February 18, 2020 and has received a consistent stream of updates across its life. The developer has shipped five major content updates post-launch: Version 1.04 (April 22, 2021), Version 1.05 (March 2, 2022), Version 1.06 (March 27, 2023), Version 1.07 (March 5, 2024), and Version 1.08 (January 13, 2025). Each major release has brought new race environments tied to real-world DCL championship locations. Looking at the three most recent major updates, they arrived in roughly 12-month intervals: March 2023, March 2024, and January 2025. This establishes a clear annual cadence. As of today (October 8, 2026), approximately 21 months have passed since the last major update on January 13, 2025 — which extends beyond the typical 12-month window. However, the intervals between prior updates have occasionally stretched (e.g., from April 2021 to March 2022, and from March 2022 to March 2023), and the developer has continued to post smaller patches throughout the game's history. No developer statement announcing the conclusion of support or development has been made at any point. The cadence is beginning to stretch beyond the established pattern, which warrants monitoring, but the developer has not signalled an end to updates and the game continues to follow the real-world DCL championship calendar as its content source.

ARCADE OR SIMULATION?
DCL - The Game presents the perfect challenge for every experience level. You can have fun with the Arcade mode even if you have never seen a drone before. You can improve your skills as an amateur pilot or you can practice and compete as an experienced pilot. Control your drone with a keyboard, gamepad or - for the ultimate simulation - connect your transmitter and fly like a real drone pilot! Beginners can fly in Arcade or GPS mode and use keyboard or gamepad as their input method.
