Evaluation
Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh launched on August 10, 2016 as the fourth and final chapter of the episodic Doorways series. The store description explicitly frames the series as a three-part episodic structure (Prelude, The Underworld, and Holy Mountains of Flesh), with this game being the concluding chapter. The launch post on August 10, 2016 celebrated the release of v1.0 as the "Final Chapter of Doorways."
Shortly after launch, the developer issued a minor bug-fix patch (v1.2 on September 28, 2016) and in December 2016 shared a new year recap confirming the team had "finished" Doorways and was moving on to new projects. The developer's attention has since shifted entirely to other titles: Hellbound (announced November 2017), Out of Bounds (released December 2022), and the upcoming Tenebris Somnia (highlighted in a January 2025 recap post). None of the post-launch communications reference any future content for Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh. The DLC content that existed (music, videos, concept art) was made free in April 2019, further indicating the game's content cycle had concluded. There is no unreleased DLC, no announced future updates, and no ongoing development activity tied to this title.
Evidence
Year-end recap states the team 'finally finished' Doorways and is working on something new.
v1.0 launched as the 'Final Chapter of Doorways,' completing the episodic series.

About this game
General Information
Juan Torres and his family were the target of an uncountable number of rumors and several disappearances that took place in El Chacal, a small village of around 4,800 inhabitants, located in the arid mountainous region of Salta, a province of Argentina.
Among the stories spread around the surrounding villages, legends involving cannibalism, black magic, sects and all kinds of superstitions were heard.
It was also said that Juan Torres was the heir of a large fortune and, somehow, with no claim raised against him, he and his family managed to control the entire town and establish their own law.
The family was made up of Juan, Celia Torres and his only child, Jeronimo.
