Dragon's Dogma 2 launched on March 21, 2024, and the developer has continued supporting it since then. In the months before the expansion, the developer steadily added features and improvements. Title Update 3.2 went live on September 2, 2026, raising equippable weapon skills from four to six and adding optimisation and save-system changes. Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, a paid expansion, released on October 9, 2026, alongside Title Update 4.0. The expansion adds the Forsaken Dominion region of Norgan with its own story, new enemies, and a loot-based relic expedition cycle, plus the Lost Rites dungeons. Title Update 4.0 delivered Hard Mode, which the developer said in July 2026 was still in development, so the main-game updates previewed on October 6, 2026 have now shipped. The expansion's store listing now shows it as released. With the expansion and Title Update 4.0 just out and the developer's support ongoing, the game is considered in active development rather than complete.
