SWORD ART ONLINE Last Recollection

SWORD ART ONLINE Last Recollection launched on October 5, 2023 with a Premium Pass and Ultimate Upgrade Pack available at launch. The game's post-launch paid content consisted of two DLC packs under the "Ritual of Bonds" banner: Vol. 1 released on January 24, 2024, and Vol. 2 released on April 17, 2024. All five DLC items listed on the store have been released — none remain outstanding. Following the release of Ritual of Bonds Vol. 2 in April 2024, developer communications shifted away from Last Recollection content. A security patch was applied on October 30, 2025, indicating the publisher still maintains the game, but this is routine maintenance rather than new content. The most recent news post from June 16, 2026 promotes a demo for an entirely separate game, "Echoes of Aincrad," and is simply cross-promotion posted to this game's news feed. A similar cross-promotion post from December 2024 advertised the demo for "SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream." Neither post announces or implies new content for Last Recollection itself. With all announced DLC delivered, no new content commitments outstanding, no roadmap or future content teased for this title, and developer attention visibly shifted to other SAO games in the series, Last Recollection appears to have concluded its content development as of April 17, 2024, when the final DLC shipped.
