Evaluation

Drift Streets Japan launched on December 21, 2015 and received a series of feature updates throughout 2016, adding cars, tracks, physics overhauls, a track editor, and tuning options. The last recorded developer communication was a feature patch on October 2, 2016 (Update 2.6.0), which rolled back a physics change in response to community feedback. Since that date — nearly a decade ago as of June 2026 — there have been no further news posts, announcements, roadmaps, or developer statements of any kind. No DLC has ever been listed for the game, and no future content has been announced. The developer has not communicated any plans to continue development, nor have they indicated the game is officially concluded. The update activity ended naturally in October 2016, and the game appears to have shipped as a complete product at that point with no further content cycle following.
