Dystopika

Dystopika launched on June 21, 2024 and received a strong post-launch update cadence over its first 18 months: a major free anniversary update (v1.5 "Meditations") on June 21, 2025 added new districts, weather, a new soundtrack, and expanded photo mode; and on December 3, 2025, the paid B-Sides DLC shipped alongside the v1.7.0 free update. That DLC — now the only DLC in the game's store listing — is fully released. The critical signal here is a developer post from August 3, 2026. In that update, the developer explicitly stated: "Dystopika remains in maintenance mode while I focus my energy on a new project." This is a clear, direct statement that active content development has concluded. The developer is not promising new features or expansions — they are monitoring for bugs and small quality-of-life fixes only, which is consistent with a game that has reached its content endpoint. Since that August 3, 2026 statement, the only activity has been minor patches (v1.7.8 in April 2026, v1.7.10 in June 2026, and v1.7.11 in August 2026) focused on quality-of-life tweaks and bug fixes — no new content. The developer's own words confirm this is intentional. The game is complete, with all shipped content bundled in the base game and the B-Sides DLC (released December 3, 2025).
