ELEX launched on October 17, 2017 as a complete, standalone RPG. Post-launch developer communication was limited to two patches: a bug fix patch on October 27, 2017, and a feature patch on December 20, 2017 that added new difficulty settings, anti-aliasing options, and a Chinese language pack. After December 2017, there were no further patches or content updates for ELEX itself.
The only DLC listed is the "Digital Extras" pack (a soundtrack/art book-style bonus), which released alongside the game on launch day and contains no gameplay content. No additional DLC was ever announced or released.
Subsequent news posts on the ELEX Steam page were used to announce the sequel, ELEX II (released March 1, 2022), and an unrelated Gothic 1 Remake (released June 5, 2026) — neither of which represents new content for the original ELEX. The developer has never announced any expansions, season passes, or additional content for ELEX, and the game has been in a state of post-patch completion since December 2017.
Evidence
