Employee Recycling Center launched on May 15, 2017. The day before release, the developer posted an announcement promising five free DLC expansions to be delivered within 2017. However, no DLC was ever listed on the store, no follow-up posts were made about those expansions, and there has been no developer communication of any kind since May 2017. The game has received no post-launch updates, patches, or content releases in the nearly nine years since launch. The promised 2017 DLC deadline passed long ago with no deliveries and no explanation. Given the complete absence of any DLC listings, follow-through, or developer activity since launch, the game is best understood as a finished product that shipped in its final state in May 2017. The original DLC promise was never fulfilled and has been effectively abandoned.
